At The Orchard, the Outreach Ministry believes in being the hands and feet of Jesus. Our desire is for the community to know that God is present, He is here and He cares. We seek to illustrate God’s love to others through local outreach and mission projects.

Our heart for service to the community ties back to our mission statement: Growing new and fully devoted followers of Jesus.

“Love the lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 27: 37-39

We believe that outreach is our willing response to God’s grace and blessings that we have received. God has created all of us with a unique purpose. This purpose allows us to make a difference in the community and the world around us. We strive to extend grace and blessings to others in tangible ways that show support to the community.

There are many opportunities to participate in Outreach at The Orchard. Our serve teams and grow groups host a Difference in Action each week that supports specific needs in the community, such as meals for foster families or random acts of kindness. The outreach team also coordinates with local ministries to provide ongoing support. We currently partner with Uniting Hope for children (foster agency) and Shepherd’s Staff of Loganville. We have also worked with local schools to provide an Angel Tree ministry for children in need at Christmas, and we hosted Lilies for Loganville this year at Easter to thank our local service personnel for all they do. We also host Love Loganville, our largest community ministry for Christmas, where we open the doors of our church and bless the community with free toys, clothes and Hot Chocolate.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Matthew 25:35-40

Holly – Outreach Coordinator

Hi, I am Holly. I am married to Robert and have two amazing teenagers, Trenton and Vanessa. I am a full time certified Program Manager but my favorite types of projects are the ones that illustrate God’s love to others. My family has been attending the Orchard for over 5 years. I love the Orchard because Jesus is always present here. The Orchard is a safe, loving place and true body of Christ. It is a place that refreshes my spirit and where you can feel God’s love through people.
